just realized my favourite mermaid has won UK Celebrity Big Brother. Of course Shilpa Shetty has.

Some would say after all those racism rows deservedly. Did she? Well we now all about Jade Goldy or actually those of you who have a TV (I dont) and indulge in such forms of entertainment.
But in the end, isnt she just another media-bitch as all those others?
Looking back I find it quite funny how the entire issue
was treated: First it is Jade and her mate being racists, then it is suddenly the program itself being inhuman and derogatory, then it is managements fault, in the end Jade is the victim of
- the media
- of her social class
- where she grew up (somewhere south east london ish - of course it is :) )
then it Chanel 4 management is threatend to be sacked
police investigates racism charges
Jade becomes suicidal - poor girl
and in the end after a lot of excuses by everybody it turns out to be all ok and warm and fluffy... and Chanel4 bosses sell it as the best marketing strategy ever.
might have been a conspiracy from the beginning of just a matter of massive gambling and luck, but in the end people love it, will consume the same shit in the future will cream their pants believing there are people (on TV) that are dumber, more chav, simply more primitive.

But this will always be the case, the valium for the masses I mean. And people will consume what they are served. The sad side though is that in Germany now for instance another show (Deutschland sucht den Superstar) apparently is under scrutiniy for being derogatory and inhuman. And although I agree that the show is bad, Dieter Bohlen is a fuck, you although know my stance on external bodies who lecture society on what to read, write, listento, watchonTV etc...
Why do I object?
Well those who object just address a symptom. And by doing so, satisfy their sick desires to control others, but worth play into the hands of those inciting and enhancing this sick society we have to deal with at the moment. Moreover, they do NOTHING AT ALL to really address the issues. Why is is that we love watching people humiliate each other - or themselves on TV? Why is it that some social classes crave so much to be on TV? And that there it might even be fashionalbe to presented oneself in a ridiculous way?
I dont get it. What it does though, is to drive social classes apart. Think about it. I ll elaborate if I have more time.

But Shilpa still looks so cute with that tail...
